A simple idea, a phenomenal success.
The Tarifold success story began in 1954. From day one, the idea of
organizing, protecting, and displaying information with steel-wired
reinforced pockets was widely accepted. In just 10 years, the number
of pockets produced grew tenfold. And in 1978, Tarifold joined CENTRA,
France's leading filing systems manufacturer. This produced a dramatic
growth in Tarifold's export business. Customers around the world responded
enthusiastically to Tarifold’s clever design, which combined
simplicity and operating ease.
During the eighties, some feared the Tarifold concept wouldn’t
stand up to the proliferation of personal computers and the paperless
office. But Tarifold products prevailed, proving to be an invaluable
asset to anyone with or without a PC. So much so, that sales not only
increased, but in 1994, Tarifold became a subsidiary of LEITZ, the
German office supplies manufacturer.

In 1997, Tarifold seized this growth opportunity to expand its manufacturing
facility. A year later, Tarifold joined the Esselte group, the world's
number 1 office supplies manufacturer to reinforce its worldwide distribution
network.
Today, Tarifold has regained its independence. The company now freely
controls its expansion with the same innovation that pioneered its
success nearly half a century ago.

Confidence in the Future
As
Yves Revenu, CEO, remarked, "In the beginning, Tarifold managed
to create its market by identifying a special need and fulfilling
it with an innovative product. Today, we need to deliver innovation
even faster to stay ahead of our competitors. We’re in the lead
now, and we’ll stay there as long as our products remain innovative
and deliver the promise of increased productivity.”
That's why Tarifold, along with its subsidiaries in the USA and
Sweden, is keeping its focus on quality, customer service and product
innovation. These efforts have not gone unnoticed as evidenced by
our most recent success—the 2002 International Stationery
Press Association award presented at the Paperworld fair.
A global vision
Tarifold currently exports 70% of its sales throughout Europe, North
America, Mexico, Japan and China! Add our new web site, and participation
in the world's most important stationery fairs, and Tarifold is truly
establishing itself as a global supplier of high-efficiency paper
organization products.
